Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 3, 2026

Uncupped (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates the website uncupped.app and the Uncupped mobile application (together, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use the Service.

If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Service.

1) Information we collect

A) Information you provide

  • Account details (e.g., name, email address) when you sign in with Google.
  • Profile information you choose to add (e.g., display name, username, profile photo, bio).
  • User content you create (e.g., coffees, grinders, brews, tasting notes, ratings, photos you upload).

B) Information collected automatically

  • Device information (e.g., device model, operating system version, language, app version).
  • Log information (e.g., IP address, timestamps, crash logs, error diagnostics).
  • Usage data (e.g., screens viewed, features used, interactions inside the app).

C) Guest / anonymous use

If you use the app without signing in, we may create an anonymous identifier to allow the app to function and store your content.

Note: If you sign in later with Google, the app may offer ways to link or migrate data depending on the features available in your version of the app.

2) How we use your information

  • Provide and maintain the Service (e.g., saving coffees, grinders, brews).
  • Personalize your experience (e.g., showing your lists and history).
  • Improve reliability and fix bugs (e.g., diagnostics and crash investigation).
  • Protect the Service and users (e.g., prevent abuse, enforce rules and policies).
  • Send service-related communications (e.g., security notices or important changes).

3) Legal bases (UK/EU users)

If you are located in the UK or EEA, we process your personal data under one or more of the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract (to provide the Service you request).
  • Legitimate interests (to secure, maintain, and improve the Service).
  • Consent (where required, e.g., for optional features or permissions).
  • Legal obligation (to comply with applicable laws and valid legal requests).

4) Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal data.

We may share information only:

  • With service providers that help us operate the Service (e.g., hosting, database, storage).
  • To comply with law or respond to valid legal requests.
  • To protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the Service.

Key processors

Uncupped uses third-party infrastructure providers such as Google Firebase for authentication, database, storage, and (if enabled) analytics/crash reporting.

5) Public vs private content

Uncupped may include public discovery features. Content you save in your personal area is intended to be private by default. If you choose to post content to public catalogs or public areas (if available), that content may be visible to other users.

The app will indicate when something is public. If you are unsure, assume community sections may be public.

6) Photos and media

If you upload photos (e.g., coffee or grinder photos), they are stored to provide the Service and display them in your account, and/or in public areas if you choose to share publicly.

Please do not upload images containing sensitive personal data or images of other people without permission.

7) Data retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

You may request deletion of your data. We will take reasonable steps to delete your personal data unless we are required to keep it for legal reasons.

8) Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights such as access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, and data portability.

To exercise your rights, contact us using the details in Section 13.

9) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10) Children’s privacy

Uncupped is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

11) International transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries outside your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.

12) Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on uncupped.app and update the “Last updated” date above.
